For your safety, there are some things we can't prescribe or treat through virtual urgent care.

Medications we won't prescribe

  • Controlled substances (anti-anxiety, sleep meds, narcotics)
  • Weight loss meds (GLP-1s, phentermine) — see our GLP-1 program
  • ADHD medications
  • Antipsychotics or nerve pain medications
  • Ivermectin for non-parasitic conditions
  • Oral steroids
  • Alcohol use disorder medications

Conditions we won't treat virtually

  • Severe acute symptoms (chest pain, breathing difficulty)
  • Issues that require lab work or imaging
  • Cases that need a specialist referral
  • Ear pain or suspected ear infections
  • Uncontrolled mental health symptoms
  • Male urinary symptoms
  • Diarrhea lasting more than 7 days
  • Pregnant patients

Common questions before your first visit.

Most patients get a provider response within 30 minutes during business hours, with full treatment plan and prescription routed to their pharmacy within the hour. Off-hours requests are queued and reviewed first thing the next morning.
For the conditions we treat, yes — the same provider would prescribe the same treatment in-person. Virtual care is fastest for clear-cut acute issues (cold/flu, UTI, allergies). For anything requiring hands-on exam, labs, or imaging, you should see in-person care — we'll tell you straight up if that's your situation.
We don't bill insurance directly — the $89 is paid out of pocket. Some patients submit our visit receipt to their HSA/FSA for reimbursement, but coverage depends on your plan. The flat price is designed to be lower than most insurance copays + paperwork hassle anyway.
If our provider reviews your intake and determines virtual urgent care isn't the right fit for your situation, we'll refund your $89 and recommend the right kind of care (ER, in-person urgent care, specialist, etc.) — no questions asked.
Profusions On-Demand serves patients 18+ only. For pediatric care, please see your child's regular pediatrician or a pediatric urgent care clinic.
Almost any pharmacy in the US. You'll select your preferred pharmacy during intake (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Costco, Rite Aid, independent pharmacies, mail-order — all supported). Prescriptions are routed electronically and typically ready within hours.
Most visits are handled via async messaging — you describe your symptoms in detail, the provider reviews and responds, often with treatment in hand. Video isn't always required, which is part of why we're so fast. If your provider needs a video check, you'll be invited to a quick HIPAA-compliant call.
You have 7 days of message access with the provider for follow-up questions about your treatment, side effects, or symptom changes. If you need another visit after that window, just start a new one ($89 again — same fast flow).
Yes. All intake forms, provider messages, prescription records, and chart notes are encrypted and stored in our HIPAA-compliant patient portal. Your health information is never sold or shared.
