Important Treatment Exclusions

Urgent Care providers will NOT prescribe:

  • Controlled substances like Ambien or anti-anxiety medications
  • Weight loss medications like tirzepatide (Zepbound), semaglutide (Wegovy), or phentermine. If you need a one-time renewal of a GLP-1 that you’ve taken within the past 14-days, you can visit this page to request a GLP-1 prescription renewal.
  • Antipsychotics like quetiapine (Seroquel) or aripiprazole (Abilify)
  • New prescriptions for mental health medications or prescription renewals for mental health conditions other than anxiety and/or depression (like bipolar disorder or schizophrenia)
  • ADHD medications like mixed amphetamine salts (Adderall)
  • Nerve pain medications like gabapentin (Neurontin)
  • Ivermectin when not indicated for a parasitic infection
  • Oral steroids like prednisone
  • Alcohol use disorder medications like disulfiram (Antabuse) or naltrexone
 

You will NOT be treated by an Urgent Care provider if:

  • You’re experiencing acute symptoms like severe abdominal pain or trouble breathing, call 911 NOW
  • You need lab testing or imaging studies like X-rays
  • You need a referral to a medical specialist
  • You’re experiencing ear pain or a possible ear infection
  • You’re experiencing uncontrolled mental health symptoms
  • You’re male and experiencing urinary symptoms
  • You’ve had diarrhea for longer than 7 days
  • You’re pregnant
